Mbeya base has several ministry streams:
Church ministry:
We feel that God has called us to equip the church in Mbeya to be strong, and so we run seminars teaching on worship, spiritual warfare and evangelism. We work with local churches to help them grow and reach out together, doing evangelism with open air and door to door activities.
School ministry:
We go into Primary Schools to share the word of God with the children. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me”, and so we know this ministry is close to Gods heart, and that He loves to see the kids learn about Him and begin to respond to Him, growing in their faith.
Faraja ministry:
“Faraja” is the Swahili word for comfort, and this work involves ministering to people who need support. Typically embracing widows, youth and older people, we meet with such in need and provide counseling and encouragement, as well as helping their physical needs when we are able.
Youth ministry:
We run youth camps during school holidays in June and December, where the young people learn about discipleship and other things such as hearing God’s voice, humility and the problem of pride.
Training ministry:
We train pre-school teachers on behalf of the Mbeya based Southern Bible school, and also run YWAM DTS (Discipleship Training School) courses. This is one of our main passions. YWAM Mbeya feels called by God to grow into a training base during the years ahead.
